Apple bids farewell to old MacBook Air design with upcoming 2024 releases.
Apple updated its MacBook Air lineup with new M3 silicone earlier this month, effectively marking the end of the company’s regular old MacBook Air lineup.
If you took a look at Apple’s website recently, you’ll notice that all MacBook Air models now have a notch that wasn’t available on older models, especially the M1-powered Mac Airs. It’s the biggest change Apple has offered to the lineup, and it’s certainly divided opinion, especially with the notched display.
The new models also bring the MacBook Air into a higher price bracket, but that’s another big feather in the cap for Apple, whose Macs now feature M-series processors. Apple has clearly felt the need to add design to update the models and also add new screen sizes to the Air lineup, giving the brand a powerful opportunity to drive more traffic to these new Macs.
At the time of writing, Apple has two 13-inch models with M2 and M3 silicon. The large 15-inch model also uses the new M3 processor. The recent updates mean that you can now buy the entry-level MacBook Air with 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD at a starting price of Rs 99,900. The price goes up to Rs 1,34,900 if you buy the new 15-inch Mac Air model with 8GB of RAM. as well. So if you’re in the market for one of these new Mac Airs, be prepared to pay more for a new design, new hardware, and Apple quality.
If you’re in a market like India, you can still pick up older M1 Mac Airs through multiple online channels and be confident that the company will deliver on its service and support.
